Back in 1989, superheroes and comic books were a huge risk at the cinema though DC had made a huge hit with Batman and it's hard to call The Punisher a superhero this film bares little resemblance to the original comics but it is a decent enough action film with a good performance from Dolph Lundgren as The Punisher and good performances from The Marvel Comics vigilante is brought to the screen in the guise of square-jawed giant Dolph Lundgren.
